At only 16.5 miles, this jaunt could easily be completed in less than an hour, but we recommend stopping off in pretty Ilfracombe and Combe Martin before taking this gentle stroll to where the sea meets some of England's highest cliffs.

A small village in the centre of Exmoor, this is just a 40-minute drive, via coast or country. Once you get there, a stroll along the River Barle will provide plenty of spots for a dip - pack your swimmers for wild swimming!
Porlock Weir
Snuggled between the rolling hills and the sea, the twisty streets of Porlock are filled with characterful cottages, shops and galleries, pubs and tea rooms. Follow the road along the coast to the small harbour hamlet of Porlock Weir
